Inspiration
This charity collection is truly inspired by those I love and their ever enduring strength. For years, I have wanted to create a jewelry piece to raise awareness about Parkinson's disease with which my father has struggled with since I was only 6 years old. Over time, I had never settled on a final design, and my frustration had grown because I had so many other foundations I wanted to support. After a great deal of thought, I realized a full collection could have so much more impact in numerous areas. One day, I felt all the pieces coming together when I found an old sketch book from my years at F.I.T. that was filled with flame and fire inspired designs.
It was time to "Ignite Change", and thus, the “Ignite Collection” was born! I have developed a collection where 15% of all proceeds directly benefit three major charities which I hope will grow into a full movement to support more organizations in the future, as well as an awareness campaign. For the initial launch, I’ve chosen the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation for my father, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in support and love of my grandmothers who both beat breast cancer, and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals as a special passion for which my husband, a veterinarian, and I both care deeply.
